Kuzié AI

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 2026

1. Introduction & Legal Entity

Kuzié AI ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by Xtratex Ltd. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our application.

This policy is designed to comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA), the ECOWAS Supplementary Act on Personal Data Protection, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Economic Area, and the data protection laws of the other countries in which our users live, including francophone West African countries.

2. Age Restriction

Kuzié AI is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Account and registration information

You can sign in with Google, in which case we receive your name, email address and profile picture, or with your email address and a password, which our sign-in provider stores securely in scrambled form (we never see your password). Email accounts confirm their address by tapping a link we send. When you register we ask for: your name, age range, gender (optional), country and state, the work you do, your main goal, the AI apps you have used, three short skill questions, what worries you about AI, how and when you prefer to learn, your WhatsApp number (optional), how you heard about us and any agent or referral code. We use these answers to personalise your lessons, to plan local groups and agents, and to understand who Kuzié serves.

3.2 Learning progress

We store your completed lessons, quiz results, XP, streak, badges and certificate details on our servers so they are safe across your devices.

3.3 AI practice

When you use the AI practice playground, your prompt is sent through our servers to an AI provider to produce a reply. We use Groq first; if it is busy we use Cloudflare Workers AI, then Google Gemini. We count how many requests you make each day to keep the service fair, but we do not keep the text of your prompts. Google may use prompts sent on its free service to improve its products, so do not type confidential or sensitive personal information into the playground. If you choose to speak instead of typing, your short recording is sent to our speech service (Groq, or Cloudflare as a backup) to turn it into text, and the recording is not stored. Your phone asks your permission before using the microphone. If you rate an answer with a thumbs up or down, we keep only the rating, the lesson, your type of work and which AI answered, not the text and not who you are.

3.4 Visits and usage

To see how many people visit and where they stop, your browser stores a random visitor number. We record visits, sign-ins, lessons completed and clicks on the community link with that number, together with your approximate location (country and state, as provided by our hosting provider). We do not store your IP address and we do not use advertising cookies.

3.5 Daily reminders (optional)

Reminders are off until you turn them on. If you do, your browser gives us a notification address for that device, and we send a short reminder at the time of day you chose, only on days you have not practiced and never more than one a day: after 1, 3, 7 and 14 days away, then we stop. Tapping a reminder is counted, so we can see whether reminders help. The message travels through your browser's own notification service (for example Google for Chrome and Android, Apple for Safari and iPhone, Mozilla for Firefox), encrypted so that only your device can read it. You can turn reminders off at any time in Profile and answers, or in your browser's settings. Deleting your account deletes the notification address too.

3.6 Feedback and invitations

If you report a problem with a lesson or answer the short check at the end of a week, we store your answers with your account so we can fix problems and, where needed, reply to you. You can also invite friends with your own invite code or link. When someone registers with it, we record that you invited them, and you can see how many people joined with your code. We also record the campaign tag on the link that brought you to Kuzié AI (for example a link shared in a church or office group), so we know which channels work. We never share this with anyone outside Kuzié AI.

4. Community, Leaderboard and Certificates

WhatsApp community: our community runs on WhatsApp. When you join, other members can see your phone number and profile, and WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy apply to what you share there.

Leaderboard: the leaderboard shows your first name, the first letter of your surname, your type of work, your XP and your streak to other learners. Leaderboards may include sample learners.

Certificates: each certificate has a number. Anyone who has the number can check on our public verification page that it is genuine, which shows the name on the certificate and the date it was issued.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate Kuzié AI:

When paid enrolment opens we will use a licensed Nigerian payment provider and update this policy before any payment is taken.

6. Analytics, Cookies and Where Your Data Is Stored

We use our own simple visit counting described in section 3.4. If you choose "Accept" on our analytics banner, we also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure visits, pages and actions such as finishing a lesson, and LogRocket, which records how pages are used (never what you type) so we can find and fix problems. If you choose "No thanks", Google Analytics does not run. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Your browser also keeps a few small items in local storage: your visitor number, your theme choice, your analytics choice and an unfinished registration form.

International transfer: our providers store data in data centres outside Nigeria, for example in Europe and the United States. Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 we only use providers that protect personal data to a standard at least equal to Nigerian law, under their published data protection terms.

7. Your Data Rights

You have the right to:

8. Account Deletion (App Store Requirement)

To delete your account and all associated data, open Profile and answers from your account menu and choose Delete my account. It removes your answers, progress, notes, assessment results, certificate and sign-in account straight away. You can also ask us by email from the address on your account.

When you delete your account: we permanently delete your profile, learning progress, saved prompts, and all other personal data from our systems. Some anonymized analytics data may be retained.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Sensitive data at rest is encrypted. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice within the app.

11. Contact Us

For questions about this Privacy Policy, your data rights, or to make a complaint, please contact us at:

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or with the data protection authority of the country where you live.
